Nano Seal Warranty
Nano Seal is committed to providing high-quality paver cleaning and sealing services. This Limited Warranty explains what is and is not covered, how to maintain coverage, and the conditions under which the warranty may be voided.
2-Year Limited Warranty
For residential projects sealed using Trident Cat 5, Nano Seal provides a 2-year limited warranty against defects in workmanship and material failure of the sealer resulting in:
If a covered issue occurs during the 2-year warranty period, Nano Seal will, at its sole discretion: re-service the affected area, perform repairs, or refund the applicable invoice amount.
Our Right to Re-Service & Repair
By hiring Nano Seal, the customer acknowledges and agrees that Nano Seal has the first right and opportunity to inspect, re-service, repair, or otherwise correct any claimed defects or issues related to our work. Refunds, if any, are determined solely by Nano Seal, based on the nature and extent of the issue.
Customer service is our priority, immediately following employee safety. We reserve the right to correct any issues before any third-party work is performed on the surface.
What Our Warranty Does NOT Cover
Many conditions are naturally occurring, environmental, or outside of our control. These are not covered under this warranty.
Efflorescence
Efflorescence is a natural process in cement-based products and is not caused by sealing. It is a white, powdery haze that can appear on paver surfaces as moisture travels through the material and evaporates.
- •According to ICPI, efflorescence is normal and does not affect structural integrity
- •Sealing can reduce or slow efflorescence, but cannot guarantee prevention
- •May occur more often in covered areas where sun and rain cannot purge minerals
- •Pressure cleaning may temporarily trigger efflorescence
It typically resolves over time with exposure to the elements. Light soaking and drying cycles can help accelerate this process.
Nano Seal does not warranty any situation involving efflorescence.
Deterioration / Degradation of Pavers
Concrete pavers are composed of cement paste (20-40%) and aggregate (60-80%). Over time, environmental conditions may cause:
- •Wearing away of the thin colored surface
- •Exposure of white/light aggregate
- •Erosion or degradation of the top layer
Contributing factors include: UV exposure, traffic volume and weight, downspouts or roofline drip, pool cage railings dripping, weather and rainfall, improper drainage, and erosion from natural factors.
Nano Seal is not responsible for any erosion or degradation of the paver surface itself.
Ants & Insects
Sealing cannot prevent ants or burrowing insects from tunneling through joint sand. These are natural behaviors and are not covered by the warranty.
Customers may use their preferred insecticide; this will not damage the sealed system when used properly.
Weeds & Mold
Sealing can slow, but cannot prevent airborne weed seeds from germinating or mold, mildew, and algae growth in damp or shaded areas.
Nano Seal applies weed and mold inhibitors as part of our standard process, but zero regrowth cannot be guaranteed.
Recommended treatments:
Weeds: White vinegar applied directly
Mold: 50/50 bleach and water
These treatments do not damage the sealer when used correctly.
Weeds and mold are not covered under this warranty.
Stains
Nano Seal uses commercial-grade stain removal tools and chemicals, but some stains cannot be fully removed without damaging the paver surface. These include:
Customers understand:
- •We do not guarantee 100% stain removal
- •Stain removal fees are based on labor and materials, not guaranteed outcomes
- •Sealed surfaces are stain-resistant, not stain-proof
Stains and incomplete stain removal are not covered.
Joint Sand
Joint sand may shift or wash out due to:
- •Weather and traffic
- •Roofline or downspout drip
- •Gaps greater than 1/4"
- •Improper edge restraints
- •Wide paver spacing or installation/base issues
- •Previous polymeric sand installations
Nano Seal is not responsible for sand erosion or loss caused by environmental/structural issues, or any surface where customer provided their own sand, requested sand higher than standard level, or polymeric sand was previously installed.
Note: Minor sand loss is normal. Severe settling indicates installation/base issues, not sealing failure. We offer sand touch-ups for an additional fee.
White or Milky Pavers
Our breathable urethane sealer cannot trap moisture, but whitening can occur when:
- •Prior topical sealers were applied
- •Pavers sit on moisture-rich substrate
- •Pavers were installed over concrete
- •Drainage is poor
Proper drainage is required to resolve moisture-retention issues.
Nano Seal does not warranty whitening/clouding caused by underlying moisture or prior sealers.
Stripping Previous Sealers
Stripping results vary by sealer type and thickness:
- •Our goal is to remove around 90%
- •Some projects may reach 100%; others only ~50%
- •Customers pay for labor, chemical use, and effort—not guaranteed results
Along painted walls, a 2" chemical-safe gap is standard to avoid paint damage.
Customer Payment Terms:
- •75% of total cost if canceled after stripping but before re-sealing
- •100% of project cost if new sealer is mixed or applied
Stripping projects are not covered by this warranty.
Sheen, Shine & Color Enhancement
Every surface reacts differently based on porosity, age, and color. Light-colored pavers naturally show less enhancement.
Nano Seal does not guarantee:
- •Any specific shine or sheen
- •Any depth of color
- •Duration of aesthetic enhancements
Optional high-gloss or wet-look additive is available for an additional fee.
Slippery Surfaces
Sealers may reduce the coefficient of friction on high-concrete-content surfaces and natural stones (marble, slate, travertine, etc.).
We apply Shark Grip on the third coat to improve traction, but:
- •It will wear over time
- •Reapplication requires full cleaning and sealing (Gold Maintenance service)
Nano Seal is not liable for slips or falls.
Pool Cleaning
While we use a robotic vacuum system to minimize debris, sand and debris may still enter the pool. Heavily soiled or uneven decks may require extra cleaning.
Customers should:
- •Rinse pool filters daily after service
- •Run the pool vacuum as normal
- •Schedule pool service 24+ hours after job completion
Pool cleaning and filter maintenance are customer responsibilities.
Tire Marks
Plasticizers in tires can transfer rubber onto sealed surfaces, especially when turning sharply, accelerating quickly, or using ride-on/zero-turn mowers.
For the first 10 days:
- •Avoid hard or stationary turns
- •Do not pivot tires without rolling forward
Tire marks are not covered.
Plant Life
Despite protection measures, sensitive plants may wilt or brown from cleaning solutions. Most recover after shedding affected leaves.
If plant stress appears:
- •Water thoroughly for 10 days
- •Notify Nano Seal
Plant damage caused by cleaning solutions is not covered.
Pool Cage Cleaning & Exterior House Washing
Low-pressure chemical application removes organic growth but does not remove oxidation or scuff marks.
Not included under warranty:
- •Oxidation removal from aluminum
- •Damage to screens already weakened by age or organic growth
- •Soffit/fascia/gutter cleaning
- •Final window cleaning after soft wash
Screens weakened by age or algae growth may fail during cleaning; Nano Seal is not responsible for this.
Paver Repairs, Re-Leveling & Structural Corrections
From time to time, customers may request that Nano Seal perform repairs prior to cleaning and sealing, including but not limited to:
- •Re-leveling uneven pavers
- •Resetting loose or sunken pavers
- •Addressing trip hazards
- •Correcting low spots that retain water
- •Repairing areas affected by root growth, erosion, or base failure
Nano Seal may perform these services as a courtesy or as an additional paid service when necessary to proceed with sealing.
Repairs Are Not Covered Under Warranty
Any paver re-leveling, lifting, resetting, or structural adjustments made by Nano Seal are not covered under this Limited Warranty. These repairs are considered temporary corrections, because the underlying causes are outside of Nano Seal's control and may continue after service.
Why Repairs Aren't Warrantied
Issues such as sinking, movement, or uneven pavers almost always originate from:
- •Improper or failing base installation
- •Soil settling or erosion
- •Poor drainage or standing water
- •Tree roots or vegetation growth
- •Inadequate edge restraints
- •Structural shifting beneath the paver system
Because these conditions are part of the original installation or the property environment, and not related to sealing, Nano Seal cannot guarantee that repaired areas will remain level, that movement will not return, that drainage problems will not continue, or that joints will remain stable in affected areas.
Even after corrective work, pavers may settle again due to ongoing foundation or drainage issues.
Drainage & Water Flow Issues
If poor drainage, soil erosion, or standing water exists:
- •Re-leveling may only offer temporary improvement
- •The area may sink or shift again over time
- •Future issues are unrelated to our sealing process
Nano Seal is not responsible for any repeat settling, movement, or structural shifting caused by drainage conditions that existed before or after our service.
Repairs Performed Before Sealing
If re-leveling is performed solely to prepare the surface for sealing, the customer agrees that the repair is not guaranteed, is not included under this Limited Warranty, and any future movement or additional structural correction needed will require a new estimate and fee.
What Will Void Your Warranty
Your warranty may be voided if any of the following occur:

How to Maintain Your Warranty
Required Annual Maintenance
To maintain warranty coverage:
Do Not Pressure Wash
Pressure washing will damage the sealer, remove sand, and cause premature failure. Any pressure washing voids the warranty immediately.
Sealing is not a one-time process; routine care is required to maintain protection and appearance.
General Terms
- •Warranty applies only to the original customer at the original service location
- •Warranty terms may change without notice as industry standards evolve
- •Customers should print/save the warranty version active at the time of service
- •This Limited Warranty is the sole warranty offered by Nano Seal
- •No other verbal or written promises (express or implied) are valid unless included in this document
- •No guarantee is made regarding the lifespan of sealer, as durability depends on environmental conditions and maintenance
